BCBHA Youth Heritage Scholarship
Supporting Youth • Preserving Heritage • Investing in the Future
The B.C. Bridlehorse Heritage Association is proud to introduce the BCBHA Youth Heritage Scholarship, supporting the next generation of ranching, stockmanship, and horsemanship leaders in British Columbia. This annual scholarship is designed to support students pursuing post-secondary education or trades training while recognizing dedication to Western heritage, ranching, horsemanship, and community involvement.

Scholarship Value
$500 Annual Scholarship
Scholarship funds will be applied directly toward tuition and educational expenses for successful applicants attending post-secondary or trades programs.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
• Be between 16–21 years old
• Be a resident of British Columbia
• Be actively involved in ranching, horsemanship, stockmanship, ranch roping, or Bridlehorse disciplines
• Demonstrate commitment through participation, learning, or community involvement
• Demonstrate financial need
• Provide references and proof of clinic or event participation

Applications Open: May 15, 2026
Application Deadline: June 15, 2026
Scholarship Recipient Announced: Early July 2026
Application Requirements
Applicants will be asked to provide:
• A short biography
• A 300–500 word statement outlining their horsemanship journey and future goals
• Two reference letters
• A short video introducing themselves and sharing their involvement in ranching or horsemanship
