2026 Art of the Bridlehorse Results
Thank you to all our incredible competitors! Competition was stiff this year... All our divisions were very full with a lot of really incredible horsemen and women. It was a real treat to see so much good horsemanship and stockmanship being showcased in one arena and all under the BCBHA flag. We'd like to thank you ALL for being a part of the Art of the Bridlehorse 2026 and for helping us show the world what traditional Old Californio horsemanship and Stockmanship can look like.
Top Hand
The riders who best displayed the qualities that make them valuable
to any ranch: supporting their fellow crew members, a high level of horsemanship
and stockmanship that makes them stand out amongst the crowd and an
ability to help their crewmates succeed, even when it isn't their run.
Top Hand Cowgirl ~ Keely Durrell on Cher
Top Hand Cowboy ~ Jeff Taylor on Esther
Best Horse
The horse who stood out as a fine example of what others should be
striving to create in their mounts. Balanced, willing, reliable, handy and ready
to go to work when asked.
Fizz ridden by Myles Abrahamson
Horsemanship Award
Sponsored by Marty Gardner of Flattop Horsmanship
The rider who demonstrated a above average level of horsemanship, often putting
their horses experience and learning opportunities above their own ability to win.
